I’m Aya, a visual storyteller working across photography, branding and content. My work ranges from editorial and jewelry photography to weddings, elopements, engagements and lifestyle portraits. I don’t believe every story should look the same. A wedding may call for something ethereal, cinematic and emotionally led, while a jewelry or branding shoot requires precision, clarity and a refined finish.

My relationship with photography began through my father. His photographs and old VHS recordings are the reason so much of our family history still exists—from my grandparents and uncles to the early years of my parents’ lives. Revisiting his archive has allowed me to enter memories I wasn’t physically part of and understand them through the way he saw them. In the same way a familiar scent can suddenly return you to a specific place or time, a photograph can bring an entire feeling back with it.

My approach is relaxed, positive and detail-oriented. I take the time to understand the vision, offer creative direction when it’s helpful and pay attention to the smaller interactions that may otherwise go unnoticed. Nothing should feel forced or rushed. I want the experience itself to feel comfortable and laid-back, while the final images remain thoughtful, intentional and true to the story being told.
